Before you book, ask your care team about free cancer lodging: it needs a referral, and rooms go in order.

What centers publish about lodging
The American Cancer Society says its Hope Lodge communities offer free lodging to cancer patients in active treatment and their caregivers, and that a first stay begins with a referral from the patient's treatment facility near the lodge, through the doctor or social worker. Rooms are available on a first-referred, first-served basis. Source
Where there is no Hope Lodge, the American Cancer Society lists 1-800-227-2345 for lodging help, and says it partners with Extended Stay America to connect eligible cancer patients with reduced-rate hotel stays at more than 700 locations. Source
Where should I stay when traveling for cancer treatment?

How is lodging booked when I travel for cancer treatment?
If a health plan, clinic or care team is arranging your travel, ask them first: they may send you a booking link or book the room for you. Ask the center's social worker too, about hospital patient rates at nearby hotels and any hospitality house that serves its patients.
Is a hotel reimbursable when I travel for cancer treatment?
Lodging for medical care may be reimbursable through your health plan, HSA, or FSA, and may be tax-deductible (see IRS Publication 502). Every stay booked through Carepassage comes with an itemized receipt you can submit with a claim.
Can a caregiver or family member stay with me?
