The Longwood Collective shuttles serve employees and students of its member institutions. Patients and visitors should plan on the MBTA, hotel shuttles or hospital transportation instead. Source
The Green Line E branch stops at Museum of Fine Arts, Longwood Medical Area and Brigham Circle, and the D branch stops at Longwood and Fenway. The Orange Line and several commuter rail lines stop at Ruggles Station. Source

About Longwood Medical and Academic Area

The Longwood Medical and Academic Area (LMA) is a compact cluster of hospitals, research institutes and schools in Boston's Fenway and Mission Hill area. It includes Boston Children's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. The Longwood Collective, the area's nonprofit steward, reports about 3.8 million patient visits a year.

Most visitors get around by the MBTA Green Line, which has several stops in the area, or on foot, since the main hospitals are only a few blocks apart. The Longwood Collective shuttles are for employees and students, not patients, so plan to use the T, hotel shuttles or hospital programs.

Parking is in hospital-run and Longwood Collective garages, and it is paid. Many hospitals offer validation or reduced rates for patients, so ask when you check in. Boston hotels fill up quickly, so look at hospital housing programs and hospitality houses early.
