Carepassage is a medical-travel booking platform operated by Carepassage LLC for TPAs of self-funded health plans. We collect only what is needed to book travel and assemble a claim, and we handle plan-member health information as PHI under a Business Associate Agreement with your TPA.
Carepassage interacts with three kinds of people, and our legal role depends on which one you are. For plan members, the TPA is the Covered Entity and we are a Business Associate processing member information on the TPA's documented instructions. For TPA operators we are a service provider to your TPA, and for marketing-site visitors we process limited business-contact information to respond to inquiries.
From plan members we collect identity, plan, date of service, facility, travel preferences, and post-stay feedback. We intentionally do not store clinical content: no diagnosis, procedure code, or claim narrative. We do not use plan-member PHI for marketing, advertising, or analytics about you as an individual, and we do not sell personal information.
