CarePassage

A booking platform built for medical travel — not retrofitted for it

CarePassage is the travel platform for people traveling for care, and for the TPAs, care navigators, and coordinators who book it for them. Think Priceline's business model, redesigned around the patient experience instead of a weekend getaway.

Why we built it

Our team came up through self-funded health benefits and hospitality — roughly five years on the benefits side and a decade in hotels and travel between us. We kept watching the same gap: when a plan member had to travel for a procedure, the only tools available were consumer sites like Priceline or Expedia. They work for a vacation. They were never built for someone recovering from surgery, for a caregiver managing a stay, or for a TPA that needs a clean, claim-ready record.

So we started a company to close it: the same hotel-funded booking model that makes consumer travel free to use, redesigned from the ground up for medical travel — with the patient experience, walking distance to the facility, and a reimbursement-ready receipt at the center.

What makes CarePassage different

Who CarePassage is for

Patients and caregivers traveling for surgery, treatment, or a second opinion can book directly — no login required. And the organizations that arrange member travel use CarePassage as a concierge back office: third-party administrators, care-navigation companies, Centers of Excellence programs, self-insured employers, and hospital patient-access teams.

CarePassage LLC is a US company serving patients and benefit administrators nationwide. Reach us at hello@carepassage.com or P.O. Box 12, Umpire, AR 71971.

Common questions

Is CarePassage like Priceline?

The business model is similar — hotels pay a commission, so the platform is free to use. The difference is the design: CarePassage is built for medical travel, ranking hotels by walking distance to the facility and providing a reimbursement-ready receipt, instead of optimizing for leisure trips.

Who is behind CarePassage?

CarePassage LLC, a US company founded by a team with experience in self-funded health benefits and hospitality. We operate as a Business Associate to the health plans and TPAs we serve, and partner with a licensed travel provider as merchant of record.

How does CarePassage make money if it is free?

The hotel industry pays a commission on every booking — the same one consumer travel sites collect. That funds the platform, so it stays free for patients and for the TPAs and coordinators who book on their behalf.
